We checked 100 WooCommerce stores for AI-shopping readiness
A census of 100 WooCommerce stores found that almost no one blocks AI crawlers in robots.txt, but almost no one provides product identifiers either. Only 2 of 93 robots.txt files blocked any AI crawler, and none blocked OpenAI's shopping crawlers. Among 76 product pages, only 4 had a GTIN or MPN in structured data, and only 12 named a brand.

- why now

- what changes
- The main gap shifts from blocking AI crawlers to adding GTIN, MPN, and brand to product structured data

score
score 8 out of 10. 0-10: how dense the facts are, multiplied by how much you can do with them after reading. 8+ means the topic's evidence bar is met: benchmarks and availability for a new model, amount and investors for a funding round, revenue figures for a solo-money story. Below 5 an item does not enter the digest. A press release scores 3 or less, a reprint loses 2, anything older than 14 days loses 1, a headline that misleads loses 3.
