Inkvec is an open-source in-browser vectorizer that converts PNG/JPEG/WebP/GIF/BMP/TIFF to SVG using level-set extraction for ~0.05px boundary accuracy and minimum description length to emit primitives (circles as `<circle>`, gradients as real gradients) rather than arbitrary cubics. On a fixed 21-case benchmark against VTracer and Trazor, it achieves median CIEDE2000 error 0.054 at 202 coordinates, versus color-trace's 0.229 at 25,018 coordinates (~124× fewer), though VTracer is meaningfully faster; on a 246-icon regression corpus it hits median dE00 0.125 with 1.46× the parameters a human author would use.
