Respawn is a beta, local-first Rust CLI that provides an "undo button" for AI agents by versioning directory trees as content-addressed snapshots (FastCDC chunking, BLAKE3-addressed objects) with atomic per-file reversion, hash-chained tamper-evident audit logs, ed25519 signed anchors for provable history, and guarded execution (`respawn guard` snapshots before a command, reports drift, and can revert on failure). It supports point-in-time APFS snapshots (macOS ≤15) and encrypted LAN replication via Noise NNpsk0 (X25519 + ChaChaPoly) with a pre-shared key, no server, and single-writer flock enforcement; it's untested by external security audit and its CLI may change between minor versions.
